Sunbrella furniture fabrics are designed to be breathable and water repellent, but not completely waterproof. One of the best ways to keep outdoor fabrics looking nice and to delay deep or vigorous cleaning is to properly maintain the fabric. This can be accomplished by simply brushing off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, wiping up spills as soon as they occur or spot cleaning soon after stains occur.

If you can't find a specific fabric or are interested in learning more about what fabrics are available we offer the complete collection of Sunbrella fabrics. Please view the Resources tab for all Sunbrella fabric catalogs. Important questions regarding warranty can be answered by reviewing the Sunbrella Fabric Warranty. All fabric sales are final.

Sunbrella began in the 1960s with the goal of creating an awning canvas with a substantially longer lifespan than cotton. Over the years, Sunbrella has expanded its portfolio, developing new fabrics and technologies specifically designed for use on outdoor furniture, indoor furniture, window treatments, boats, and more.

Each yard of Sunbrella performance fabric is a product of a global support team committed to producing only the most exceptional performance textiles you can buy. Sunbrella fabrics are made with close attention to design detail and engineered with robust performance characteristics that make them easy to care for and last for years; whether they are used indoors, outdoors, or on the water.

Sunbrella fabrics are manufactured in facilities around the globe, with a one-million-square-foot facility in Anderson, South Carolina, serving as its main manufacturing location. As a performance fabric industry pioneer, Sunbrella is always researching and developing new ways of bringing durability, comfort, and style to the places people live, work, and play. Sunbrella is committed to creating high-quality performance products that provide comfort for your coziest spaces, color retention for years of enjoyment, cleanability for all of life’s messes, and strength that lasts.

All Sunbrella fabrics are manufactured with Color to the Core™ technology. This proprietary process means each foundational fiber is saturated with color and UV-stabilized pigments. Once saturated, the proprietary fiber is spun into yarns which are then woven into our long-lasting performance fabric. Color to the Core™ technology ensures years of beautiful living with color that stays true over time, maintaining the strength and integrity of the fabric through years of cleaning, wear, and exposure to the elements.

Sunbrella performance fabrics are made of 100% solution-dyed acrylic. Fibers are saturated with color and UV-stabilized pigments before they’re spun into yarn–meaning the pigment goes all the way through the fibers and the color stays true over time. This unique process makes Sunbrella performance fabrics inherently fade-resistant, UV-protective and durable to the core.
